Looks like he is gonna do it..... ?

In the words of Mike (Avs fan) WOOOOO-FREAKIN-HOOOO!!!!!!

Steve Sullivan is set to make his return to the ice this Saturday as the Predators face the Blackhawks.. A back injury and multiple surgeries have kept him sidelined since Feb 07.. Coach Trotz said he is looking at giving Sully 15 - 18 mins and lots of time on the Power Play..

Question 1-- How long can the "lil engine" last in the league after being out a full year??

Question 2-- Provided he has a positive return and continues to play, does he get a nod for the Masterson??

Update:

Forgive the Homerism in me, but when you are running stronger in the Tavares sweeps than in playoff contention, you look for any bright spot you can find..

Update 2:

Kate-- LOL-- I had a dilemma earlier in the week-- See Crosby on Thur or wait for the Sullivan return on Sat.. I chose Sully, but am trying to find a way to "have my cake and eat it too"..

BTW-- Pitt will look like team Canada last week against us, so settle down.. LOL..

Update 3:

Kate-- I think Mike is grounded from the "puter" for selling Joe Sakic a shotty snow blower--- or atleast thats the rumor we will get started.. LMFAO...

WOOO-FREAKIN-HOOO lmao. What ever happened to good old Mikey? ..........This means he won't be back as early as tomorrow to play against the Pens? I had read and thought it said he'd be playing on Thursday...... Wooooo.......I mean, I'm sorry, but Saturday is close enough, eh?

Penguins will get killed anyways. One win agains the big bad Atlanta doesn't have me sold that they're out of the slump.

I think it'll take him some time to shake the rust off, but once he gets going to he'll start up right where he left off.

Sure, but he has to play, and play WELL.

  • First off congrats to Sully for making a recovery . I liked him as a player a lot

1)I think He may have to start by having less time then 15-18 for the first few games. But as long as the back is holding up. The stamina will come back quickly enough . He should last fine if he doesn't try to play like he used to to start off .

2)He should be in the running and a top candidate if he does does great work on the ice . For sure .

Assuming he can stay healthy, he'd be no-brainer for Masterson consideration.

To battle through 2 years of surgeries and rehab without calling it quits is a huge testament to his heart and determination. You can't help but pull for guys like that.

By the way, you don't want Tavares. I know I'm the guy who called Tom Brady a flash in the pan, but Tavares cannot skate at the NHL level. Until that changes, he is more Brian Lawton than Sidney Crosby.

Just what Nashville needs Copas... another player to skate around wasting ice-time and not scoring!

Check that, may he can get the PREDS goals scored per game stat to an even 1.00
