bantam is right. most people wear a lot of clothes to cut water weight in order to achieve a certain weight by the time a wrestling match or fight or something comes around. since fights and things of that nature are classified by weight classes, an easy things that boxers and wrestlers to lose weight quickly are sweat and spit like crazy.

They think it's hardcore. It has nothing to do with losing more weight - sweating more means you're just losing water weight and becoming dehydrated. It doesn't mean you're burning more fat.

Of course, as the other guy said, this helps fighters make their weight class. (But they fight at their original, pre-cut weight.)

Maybe they're narcissistic and think they have to be in style all the time. Maybe they don't want sweat running down their foreheads. Or maybe they just didn't think about taking it off. I do that all the time. Hope that helps! :)

some people work out with a lot of clothes on as they think it makes them sweat more with means losing more weight truthfully i don't find this to be true

Apparently, the more you sweat the more calories you lose. I just learned about that a few weeks ago. You're only losing water weight, but it's still weight you probably don't want :)

Maybe because they want to sweat. More sweat leads to more pounds off you. It can be other reasons to but I think that is why.

I've seen that too, and it confuses me also. I prefer to workout in comfortable fabric shorts/sometimes pants and a tshirt/tank top, if I put on anything else I find myself getting sick. But that's just me.

    They want to sweat more.

It's a myth that if you sweat more you burn more calories, but that's not true if you think that adding on more clothes will make you burn more calories. Yes, you should sweat but naturally.
