ANYBODY taking the superteam over the Lions is CLUELESS, and here's why. Remember the "unbeatable" team, the 2005 USC Trojans of Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart, LenDale White, Dwayne Jarrett, that great defense, and all those other parts that dominated in college to win, what was it, 44 straight games? This question came up then. Well, look at how three of those guys are faring in the NFL- poorly. Most of the players on those UF, OU, UT, and UA teams won't start in the NFL in years, much less now. Don't you think Calvin Johnson would destroy any college coverage with a great quarterback? We know what Kevin Smith did at Central Florida. And that defense is really bad, but take any of those seven-year vets on the team, and put them in college... They'd be pretty good, much better than most other players, right!? The deal is, the NFL has much more complex schemes. Ever see the triple option run in the NFL? No, because guys really are bigger, faster, stronger, and far more experienced and don't fall for cheap tricks. They are professionals. So, they would win. However, between the /potential/ NFL careers of the players on those four collegiate teams and the Lions, it's a victory for the superteam. But now, it wouldn't even be close, the Lions would win every time.

P.S. Think of the Arena League coming to the NFL... They'd get destroyed. And most of the players on those collegiate teams aren't good enough for the Arena League! The Lions could probably play 25 games (or more) before losing. The difference between the 2007 Patriots and the 2008 Detroit Lions isn't even close to the difference between the 2008 Lions and a superteam.

P.P.S. I know this is a really long answer, but if you read it, you won't regret it!

If you add USC to the equation, MAYBe the superteam. All the Lions players had to come from a college. They aren't as experienced as the pros no matter how bad they are. With a few key USC players though, I think the superteam could pull it off.

Yeah, you'd have to. The Lions I think would not stand to lose against any college football team anyway. Plus they have more talent than any college football team. I think Florida would come the close with a quarterback who can throw well against the horrible Lions secondary, and run well against their horrible run defense.

Nope, superteam. You still need chemistry to win and the Lions have none. Also, you need talent to win. The best of college can beat a team of middle-aged failures. Easily.

LOL Florida Gators alone would beat the Detroit Lions.

this is a tough one i don't think one college team could do it but with cast of lineups that's a tough one to call i would say lions win but less that a touchdown no more that a touchdown either way it would be embarrassing to the lions

    LIONS EASILY

    REASON:

CAUSE EVERYONE IN THE NFL HAD TO BE FROM COLLEGE (99% OF THEM)

AND LIONS WOULD DESTROY ANY COLLEGE TEAM

    ITS LIKE COLLEGE VS HIGHSCHOOL

    OR HIGHSCHOOL VS PEE WEES

    SEE WHAT IM SAYING?
