Beta Levels more than doubling?!?!?!?
I was just wondering if anyone knew how levels rose with twins? I have an ultrasound on the 20th. My levels on the 2nd (Friday) were 49.4 and my levels on the 5th (Monday) were 299.something!!!! That is more than doubling!!! Just seeing if anyone knew what was going on. I don't want to bug my doctor or her nurse. I bug them a lot! ( I don't know if I am pregnant with twins or not...Should find out on the 20th.

My levels were 246 the first time I got it checked which was 15 days after I ovulated. That was really high to me but when they were re-checked 48 hours later which was yesterday they were 611. Technically they double every 24-48 hours. So you went a little over 3 days so if it was 50 and doubled once it would be 100. They say it should double by at least 60% though. So if you calculate 60% then you are right on track. Because you are looking at more like 120 then 60% again and that is closer to 260. So it does not seem too high for over 3 days.

That's not "bugging" your nurse. Just call and ask or wait for your appt. I don't want to tell you something that ends up not being true.
