If your computer is THAT bad then the only way to get rid of the infestation is an OS re-install. BUT before you go trying to do that run a couple of on-line scanners such as:
http://support.f-secure.com/enu/home/ols.shtml
and
http://www.pandasecurity.com/homeusers/solutions/a...
to see what they turn up.
AFTER both scans come out CLEAN then it should be safe to install new AV software.
The best that I've found that is free is Avast AV. It's MUCH better than AVGarbage!!! I quit using AVG several years ago when it became nothing but bloatware that allowed my computer to become so infested I had no choice but to do an OS re-install.
Get Avast here:

You have to "register" it each year, but that is FREE! Note: the Paid version only has a couple of 'whistles' that don't really affect the effectiveness of the anti-viral properties of the program.
Add Spybot Search & Destroy

Ad-Aware
http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php
and Comodo Firewall in addition to the one in your router
http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/
Since starting to use this is the cocktail I use along with pro-active "Best Practices" and have had little trouble.
I hope this helps. Good Luck!

I would say that AVG Free is the best free Anti-Virus software, as I used to use it.
Other free Anti-Virus software include avast Home Edition, Avira AntiVir Personal, BitDefender Free (Only an On-Demand Scanner) and Comodo AntiVirus.
If your Virus problem isn't solved, then you may have to reinstall Windows.
If you do solve your virus problem, then I recommend paying for an Internet Security suite, such as Kaspersky Internet Security 2009.

I use Spybot and AVG. Both are no-charge.
AVG runs all the time. I run Spybot once in awhile or whenever AVG may have missed a bug.

AVG 8.0 Free Edition used in conjunction with Spybot Search & Destroy 1.6 is a great combination.

why does it have to be free? there are great ones out there such as norton 360 that you can get for cheap after rebates.

google search for free avg then go to one that is legit and download it scan and it should get rid of them but if not then go to housecall.trendmicro.com and that should get rid of them if you absolutely need to get rid of these viruses then download ubuntu onto your flash drive then go into bios and boot of of the flash drive then figure the viruses name go into ubuntu and delete it
