My baby is really fussy today and has been awake off and one since 4:45 am? ?
He is 10 months old and he is always a morning person. Normally by now he's off playing with his brother or playing peek a boo with mommy or daddy, but he isn't. All he's done is fuss, like he's hurting. He has been teething lately, but I don't think this is teething. He feels a little warm but not feverish. He does get a lot of ear infections, but he normally has a fever with them. Can he get an ear infection without a fever? We don't have medical insurance or I would've just taken him to an urgent care clinic or something.
I don't live in a city. There isn't even a clinic or anything here. Everything is 10 miles away. I am trying tylenol and I gave him some toast. i'm hoping he takes a nap and that its nothing but he has been tugging on his ears.

My son is almost 10 months, and has been so, so fussy the past week that I could just cry. Most ear infections do not have a fever. Teething can also cause tugging on the ears. My son does this sometimes, but it is always because of teething. One of my daughters had recutrrent ear infections as a baby, and I could usually tell because the actual ear stayed red, and she would be sensitive to my pressing behind or right below her ear. She eventually got tubes, which were a lifesaver. Use baby orajel and tylenol. Some swear by highlands teething tablets, but my son can't have those- something does not agree with his stomach.

Is the a Dial-a-Nurse service in your city? If baby is too warm, give him a cool bath, not cold, cool. DO NOT GIVE ASPIRIN!!!!!
