Is this fair or not fair?
i found some questions about twilight and some about harry potter. but loads of people seemed really annoyed with the twilight questions and there were loads of rude answers. but no one complains about the harry potter questions even though there are loads of questions about it and harry potter has been around for ages. why are people prejudiced against twilight? why isn't harry potter getting the same treatment? is this fair?

It's not fair. People are being hypocrites. No one is prejudiced against Twilight, though- most everyone who says they hate it have read it. Harry Potter isn't getting the same treatment because there are still far less HP questions than there are Twilight questions. A majority of the Twilight questions have been repeated so many times that people are getting reasonably annoyed, now.
But it isn't fair, still. There are people who ridicule Twilighters for posting over-the-top questions about Twilight and the characters, but turn around and post equally over-the-top questions about Harry Potter.
The people in B&A need to grow up.
Edit: People are saying it's fair, but I'm very sure that 90% of the people on Y!A that are rude to Twilighters on the internet would not be rude to their face in real life. That's being a hypocrite and targeting people simply for what they like. Yes, the questions are repetitive and I wish they'd stop, but we all know that they won't. We might as well try and make peace with them instead of bating them, as I've seen people do, or posting questions designed especially to insult them, or posting answers that are the same way. That's not fair.

Trust me, back when Harry Potter had taken over the forum, it got way more crap than the twilight questions get now.
But as of the past 4 months, unnecessary Twilight questions have plagued this forum, and people are sick of it. There is a searchbar for a reason. There are RULES for a reason. Many of the Twilight "questions" break those rules.
At least most of the harry potter questions are actual questions on the book.

If you look at the question board in B&A at almost any given time of day there are at least 3 questions about Twilight. At times 10/20 questions are about Twilight. Thy hype surrounding Twilight is annoying. The hype around Harry Potter has died down. I am sure it was just as annoying in here when Harry Potter was coming out.
So yes, it is fair that people are dumping on the obsessive Twilight fans because I am sure the Harry Potter fans probably had to endure the same thing.

Yes, it's fair. If people asked stupid questions about the HP movies, or actors, or endless character comparisons, or the same questions over and over, then other people absolutely would complain.
There are very few complaints about new and different questions about the Twilight books. But endless "are you in love with Edward?" "are you Team Edward or Team Jacob?" "how do I get cast to be in New Moon?" and so on are not about the Twilight books and shouldn't be here.
It's also a requirement of posting here that you look for answers to your questions using the search bar before posting the same question again. The Twilight questions which people complain about have invariably been asked multiple times before, often within the previous hour.

That's because most of the HP questions on here are perfectly reasonable. People normally ask idiotic questions about Twilight.
I do find it slightly irritating when a Twilight fan will gush about Twilight but talk about how they HP, AND VICE VERSA. HP is a good series, but it's not literary brilliance either.
Note to over-eager Twilight fans- don't make yourself sound stupid. Think before you type. You get picked on because you don't seem to realise how you come across. Why should anyone pay attention to an inarticulate person's opinion?

Twilight is written poorly and really shouldn't be getting all this attention and hype. Harry Potter is better, and there are still less HP questions than there are Twilight questions. It has slowed down, but until last week there would be 30 repeated questions every twenty minutes about Twilight. It's really the fans' fault that the Twilight questions are getting rude comments. If only they'd use the search bar...

Because the Twilight questions are lame. They're just the same thing over and over. Harry Potter, however, has legitimate questions and fans who aren't obsessed with exclamation points, the caps lock key, and the phrase "OMG! Edward is so hott!"

There are more Twilight questions than Harry Potter. And most of them are repetitive ones like, "Edward or Jacob?" "What does Edward do when Bella gets her period?" "What happened in Breaking Dawn?" "Where can I read Twilight online?" "OMG I LUV EDWARD DO U????????"
More HP fans act maturely than Twilight fans. The Twilight fans I see here are rabid, rude and annoying.
Note that I'm not saying that there are no sensible Twifans, because there are. I just don't see them more often.

There aren't a bunch of Harry Potter questions. That was one day, the Battle of Books. What are you talking about?
