I have worked for a place since 2003.Over the years we have worked for 4 different company's. The new company require's we pay for pant's.I've had problem paying for them as they've been pants that are pleated{SP}which I WILL not wear outside work. Can I force my company to pay for my pant's?I'm afraid if I do they will fire me. What options do I have?

You need to check the labor laws regarding uniforms in your state. Im in Cali, and if the uniform is a required color or a shirt with logo, they are suppose to supply said uniform. More than likely, it will be that they need to pay for them so in that case, maybe you can take a copy of the labor law that states such and show it to them.

I have worked many, many jobs with dress codes.
And NO company ever bought my clothing nor paid for a clothing allowance.
Here is the solution:
Find a new job.
Or, just buy them and then write them off your taxes as non-reimbursed employee expenses. As long as you NEVER wear the pants outside of work, you should be able to get away with it.

My company gives you the first pair, but every pair after that you have to buy. Did you sign something when they hired you? Might be something to look into.

Here you would have to buy them, and then you can claim the expense on your taxes.
