Why Conform!?!?!?!?!?!?

I have been raised to be my own Man.My father before me worked countless years to struggle for me to be a free man. To be who I wanted to be.So Why should I be a slave to the the MAN? Why should I be who people say I should be?Please tell me my job depends on it.That which is ill-important.You as a working man will pay for me to have food stamps if I don't work, I beg of you tell why should I work?I have no reason other than to conform to which that you shall choose for me.

Nice Rant. Someone else can report it. I've put in my quota today for some really offensive ones.

    Fight the man, bro.

But seriously, if you don't want to work, you don't have to. There is no one that makes you. It's not the law, we aren't a communist society, so you don't have to. If you feel like the working life is conformism, then skip to your own beat! (Don't even walk. That's conformist.)

In our capitalist nation, we expect every man and woman to work and aspire for fame, fortune, and lots of industry. But you don't have to! You see that hobo (not bum) on the street, who doesn't hold a sign about Vietnam? He probably chose that life, and right on for him!

But then again, many would argue that's it's an easier life for the white-collar working man, who has a job, a shiny car, a big house, a pretty wife and 2.5 kids. Who cares what's easier? That life isn't /fun/. For you. Probably. If you want to live off food stamps and resist the pull of acceptable society and be the scandalous fellow in the neighborhood, more power to you.

Personally, I want to go to college, get a Master's, write a couple books and have some oddly-named kids while living in Japan. Is that conventional? No. Is it living off food stamps? No. It's not quite comfortable, either, though, unless I crank out some best-sellers.

So, in summary, just do what you wanna do. Who gives a damn about the g-mans and their need to have acceptable little carbon-copies getting bonus points for extra-mediocrity.

You don't have to ever grow up if you don't want to. The section 8 housing will give you shelter, or if that is too much trouble , you can live down by the river in a tent and panhandle for booze money. The prisons are 2 million strong with people that didn't want to do it someone else's way either . So the choice is yours. Good luck with that.
