This one happened to me. I was 18 and attending business school and working in the office of the very large school. I was sitting on a very low stool, filing when my boss said “Ann, I would like to introduce you to Senator Herbert S. Walters.” I turned and while trying to stand, the stool scooted out from under me and I fell flat on my back with my dress over my head! I was wearing zebra print thongs. When I pulled my dress down and looked around, everyone was gone but I could hear the entourage laughing all the way down the hall. My face flushes with embarrassment as I write this!

In nursing we do something called "grand rounds". All the multidisciplinary team (doctors, nurses, social workers, physio, occ. health etc) come together once per week to discuss the patients progress and where they go from the hospital.

when I was a new nurse 6 years ago, the senior nurse (team leader) would always making a point to embarass me infront of the team to cover up her ignorance. Asking me questions she knows I don't know the answer to. she was the one who works m-f so she knew what was happening with the patients most of the time. I had been off for like 5 days and come back......and guess what? It's rounds day. I didn't know the patients (plans) very well.

Those were so really painful times but I made it through.

I work in the seafood dept at a grocery store and I was pulling out some frozen lobster tails out of a box. They got stuck. When I tugged, I tugged a bit too hard and they smacked me right in the face. Typically, it would be no biggie but they ended up splitting my lip and cutting me under my eye and causing a 'mouse'. I actually thought it was funny because my lip would not stop bleeding!

The embarrassing part came when management came up to me and asked if I wanted to file an accident report. My only response was "And say what?? God no!"

HAHA oh I have a pretty good one.

I was a cashier at a department store, and you know how it gets with those brief conversations you have... They all tend to be the same. And I always end off with "Have a nice day", so I guess it just got programmed in my mind after working five hours. So when I was done my shift and walking to the back, I noticed someone waiting near the washroom and let them in with the key, and I caught myself saying "Have a nice..." as I was letting them in. ****. That doesn't apply now. Think quick! "...time"

To say the least, it wasn't a very clever moment for me. I told the person to have a nice time, and they gave me a severly strange look.

I was a bartender at a college bar and often wore skimpy outfits. One loud night, a guy sitting at the bar told me he thought I had nice dimples. Because it was so loud, I misunderstood him and thought he said that he thought I had nice nipples, lol I started going off on him until he stopped me and told me that wasn't what he said, haha

Another night I called last call because we were getting ready to close down for the night. A guy in a wheelchair asked if he could still buy a shot. Our bar policy was that we would no longer serve drinks after last call, but we could serve shots until the doors closed. So I told him (without thinking first), that he could buy shots until he walked out the door. He looked down at his wheelchair, and looked back up at me and said "I don't think I'll be doing much walking." Oops!
