Hey JW's, do righteous people die at all? How about any JW's you know?

I'm confused. Since JW's believe that, "Jesus died to save you from the wages of sin. The wages of sin is death, it is not eternal life in torment," then all people who have physically died must be unrighteous then, right? If not what 'death' did Jesus (die to) save us from?

Or do righteous JW's live forever without dying at all?

Cause the bible says: It is appointed unto man ONCE to die, and THEN the JUDGMENT(Hebrews 9:27).

And: But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Rev. 21:8

Then DEATH and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the SECOND DEATH, the lake of fire. Rev. 20:14

Finally: 'He who has an ear, let him hear what the [Holy] Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt by the second death.'

Rev. 2:11

Respectfully, I'm not sure where you get the idea that Jehovah's Witnesses believe that righteous people do not die. Moses died. All of the ancient prophets died. Noah died. The wages of sin IS death. Jesus died so that we can be freed of that and in time live forever as Jehovah God had intended for us too. For billions, that means a resurrection from the dead, as Jesus foretold at John 5:28,29.

The second death referred to at Revelation 21:8 is merely indicative of a permanent death... one from which there is no hope of a resurrection.

Revelation 20:14 which you quote is actually proof that HELL does not exist as a place of eternal torment since Hades is the Greek word for Hell. How do you explain a burning place being thrown into a burning place, if that were true?

Ok, I am not Jewish, but I think I can help you out on the first question. Well, everybody is unrighteous, but when Jesus comes again, and whoever followed him and did not go for the antichrist, or decided to not pick either, will be saved, and live forever on a new earth. They will be righteous, they will still have their own choice though, and could turn to Satan.

The death would be eternal life in a horrible place, where you will always be hurt. You might be thrown against a wall, or be burned in a fire. It is not fun!

The judgment is in Rev. Read rev. and talk to Christians, they can help you. Jesus will come twice, and he has already come once.

Oh, yeah and we made ourselves sin, so we are pretty much still all bad.

I'm not a JW but to just give you a tip, if you want to argue anything with them you need to post quotes from The New World Translation Bible.

    From TowerWatch.com:

"The New World Translation of the Bible is Jehovah's Witnesses own translation, no other religious group uses this Bible and Jehovah's Witnesses make very little use of other Bibles."

Just a tip. Good luck in getting your answer!

Q&A Queen: I've had a lot of discussions with JWs in the past and the ones I have talked to will only discuss scripture from their bible not the bible we use. All I'm saying to him, is he should compare the scripture in the bible with theirs and then ask his question...that's all.

I have a question for YOU.

Why won't you won't listen to Jehovah's Witnesses? Is it because you're too proud?

That sure is what it looks like.

    Humble yourself. Learn the truth.
