Why do people feel compelled to write "easy 10 points for best answer" or something similar?

I am baffled by this. Of course, we all like the 10 points, but only one person can get it, and that's not why most of us are here anyway. Sometimes it's the only thing in the question line. Anyone give me some insight into these people's minds?

it's a point gaming violation but if a yahoo worker asks it, it won't get violated.

they ask it to generate more responses.

In our society, anytime someone uses the word "easy", it encourages people to take notice. Even if it's simply answering a question that they'll obviously get 10 points for best answer, people are either too incompetent or lazy to realize any question is worth that much.

(example- EASY DIET, versus, same diet with same results, people are more inclined to go "Oh, easy. I love taking the easy way out so I might as well try this if I need to try something.")

so more people will answer there questions and so they can also earn another 3 points. (you get 3 points for making a best answer)
