Christians could you answer this please.?

if as nearly all believe the dead go to heaven if they died in Christ, what is it they do there?

The Catholic view is they are still in the body of Christ as death is swallowed up in the victory of the cross.

this of course means they live more fully than us and if angels can hear our prayer Matt 18-10 and present them Rev 8-4 as an offering

to God, how is it those in Heaven can't hear our prayers?

My understanding of scripture is that if not here then in Heaven we become one with God (Christ) and saying they can't hear us or do anything is like saying Christ can't hear us or do anything.

Can anyone say the saints in heaven are not in Christ?

Can you say they have no part in his body?

Can you say that Christ's body is not living in heaven?

If not then you have only one option that is to believe the living in heaven still work in the body and offer up prayers on the alter as the saints on earth do.

Please refrain from saying the dead go into the grave to wait the Resurrection, that is ignorance of scripture.

Thank you, hope you can explain.

Update:

The Apostle scripture can. revelation 6-9

Update 2:

Secret service I asked you not to answer in his way for this very purpose.

since you don't get that the souls are at the throne praying in one vioce, I have to assume you believe that Christ has his head in Heaven and his body in the grave...

in the old days that would have been Heresy.

christ is the head of the body, can the body be seperated from the head?

Update 3:

    Matt 24:

51 And behold the veil of the temple was rent in two from the top even to the bottom, and the earth quaked, and the rocks were rent.

52 And the graves were opened: and many bodies of the saints that had slept arose,

53 And coming out of the tombs after his resurrection, came into the holy city, and appeared to many.

54 Now the centurion and they that were with him watching Jesus, having seen the earthquake, and the things that were done, were sore afraid, saying: Indeed this was the Son of God. 55 And there were there many women afar off, who

We read in 1Cor chapter 15:

5 But if Christ is preached as raised from the dead, how can some among you say there is no resurrection of the dead?

    13

If there is no resurrection of the dead, then neither has Christ been raised.

    14

And if Christ has not been raised, then empty (too) is our preaching; empty, too, your faith.

    15

Then we are also false witnesses to God, because we testified against God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise if in fact the dead are not raised.

    16

For if the dead are not raised, neither has Christ been raised,

    17

and if Christ has not been raised, 6 your faith is vain; you are still in your sins.

    18

Then those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.

    19

If for this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are the most pitiable people of all.

Read the entire chapter 15, this is an example...

  • We have to be honest about the Popes. Many of them have been more like Caiaphas in character than St Peter, a few like Herod Antipas. Some from 10C-18C, I believe, will not be in heaven because they never really trusted in Christ, and in fact displayed the most terrible sins. Can one really think the decisions of such people are what Christ wants ? And to think their decisions are infallible would be unwise - many catholics thought the tortures inflicted by the Inquisition were God's will because the Pope said they were. The Bible says that behaviour was wicked, as do our consciences.

As to saints, they are just humans like ourselves. So many catholic prayers must be sent to great saints, yet God would not want Mary, for instance, to answer millions of prayers a day; that is too heavy a load for a human. Jesus and God the Father love us more than even perfected saints in heaven can. Possibly they can intercede, but I think God should be where our prayers go.

Very Nice question? And lostsa Bible Verses to go along with it?

When a Christian dies in CHRIST, He or She Goes to Heaven to be with HIM. All will be busy Worshiping HIM. ( So if your a little lax in that Department? You'd better get busy)

A Christian is a Christian. Some faiths will preach that if you believe in everything that they Preach to you??That you have to confess sins to them? And say prayers to their so called dead Saint's?? Your going to be A Captain or a General or some other kind of high fluting Being? That's a Lie. And flase teaching. Get away from that Church.

Our prayers are only Heard By JESUS CHRIST. He in turn takes our prayers too the FATHER. No one else in Heaven can hear a prayer but, The FATHER AND THE SON.

Also we will never achieve deity in Heaven? We were not created for being Deity at any time. NO ONE! Not even the Angles on Earth or in Heaven know what is in GODS Mind or Heart. Only the SON Does.

Please keep in mind, The HOLY TRINITY. GOD THE FATHER, GOD THE SON, And THE HOLY GHOST. The Holy Ghost is given to us at redemption of our sins and excepting JESUS into our Lives. We all will have Eternal Souls though.

Much of Scripture that you have picked out here?Has to do with Prophesy.

    GOD Bless YA,

Please pray for our Country and Our President (DAILY)

There is more Joy in JESUS in 24 hours, Than there is in the World in 365 Days. I have tried them both.(ME TO)

i see no point in finding another answer when u dont want to believe the truth that was stated in the scriptures as the one you stated at last. when we die we are simply asleep and god will raise the dead at the end times so they can be judged. they are asleep untill judgement day is it so hard to accept the truth. im sure u might asked this question because you lost a loved one and so deprately wanting them to hear your prayers and want to find something that helps support what u want to believe. it would be nice for my grandma to hear my prayers i just have to realize she can't cua she is asleep until judgement day.

First of all anyone who has accepted Christ as their Lord and Saviour are part of God, especially as the Holy Spirit lives in them from that point on. We are all saints. When we die we will carry on perfecting ourselves until we are one with God.

Heaven is not withing the reference of "time" as we know it.

In my view, when you die, your soul leave the time-and-space reality we are currently in. This happens for each individual.

So, by Heaven's point of view, every single human being who ever lived and died will arrive at the final judgement at the exact same time.

In other words, there aren't any saints watching us from Heaven right now, and technically there in no one in Hell right now. It is outside of the timeframe we are currently in.

If your head is filled up with Roman Catholicism then how will you be able to hear God's voice?

Even were man to give you an answer how will you know except God show you?

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

Do you not need to hear God's voice - faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God?

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

How is that possible while you are messed up by Roman Catholicism?

Does not God deal with individuals? Does He not come to the lowly and humble and not through worldly and proud institutions?

Does He show Himself to the highly exalted and richly attired and mitred Pharisees or to the publicans and harlots, and the widows with their mites, not mitres?

For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

What hope of that is there in the Roman Catholic Church?

    Please, wake up.

Edit : Thank you for your additional post but can you not see that by it how you confirm what has been said?

Shake yourself free from the deceitful manipulations of Roman Catholicism and seek to hear God’s voice to you, not that church’s voice. Again, how can you hear Him while they are teaching you about themselves?

It is Christ to Whom you should give allegiance, not the Roman Catholic Church. It is Christ you should promote not the Roman Catholic Church. It is Christ that you should go to and receive from and not the Roman Catholic Church. It is His inward work that you should seek and not their external works. You need Christ not the Roman Catholic Church.

Even the least may know Him by His indwelling Spirit, and be led by His Spirit and any so called church should be teaching you to follow Christ and not themselves. Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

How can you not see this? They have blinded you, and you serve them.
