Question

Well, i got a piano for christmas, i had never learned how to play before, but i sing, and ive always had a passion for music. And i started messing around, and everyone was shocked by how fast i picked it up and how good i was, but is it really that tough? today after school, i was bored so i went on youtube and learned how to play one of my favorite songs, and now i can sing it and play it simultaneously (its called you are the moon by the hush sound) heres a link if your curious

Yes, for some people it is VERY hard or impossible. In school I was in chorus and we won awards all the time. However I could not read music so they had to sing it through once for me and I could pick it up that way. After 3 years of music I still can't read it and have giving up trying. I also suck at math. Did you know that math, music and languages are rather related? If you're good in one you're likely to be good at all of them. Guess where that left me? I would love to play the piano and guitar and wanted to work in the medical field but without those skills........Thank God my girls didn't inherit that from me. They both pick up music very quickly and easily. And yes that is a beautiful song.

i love the song its one of my favorite bands and songs. but play it to someone who would tell you the truth like the music teacher or your best friend. its kinda hard to tell you if you are good when weve never heard you play.
