I don't believe in heaven but I believe those who commit suicide join the mass consciousness of all non-Earthbound. Some might call them souls or spirits but I think when we sleep, our body is the one that needs to be charged up, not our consciousness. Our consciousness never sleeps. Now, if it were only part of our body then why doesn't our consciousness go to sleep too? It doesn't because it is independent of our physical form.

You have a friend who committed suicide? They're okay and with their loved ones who have also passed on. The bible is a crock.

Sometimes people who kill themselves are in fact suicide victims. They may have some internal issues that are not obvious to those around them. However, only God understands the role of mental sickness, extreme stress, even genetic defects, in a “suicidal crisis,” which is not a lifetime characteristic [but] often a matter only of minutes or of hours. ( Ecclesiastes 7:7 -For mere oppression may make a wise one act crazy). Also, the Apostle Paul was inspired of God to write that there will be a resurrection of the righteous and unrighteous ( Acts 24:15). And also Romans 6:7 tell us that he who has died has been acquitted if sin. So, your classmate is now acquitted if his last sin and any other sins that he did during his lifetime. God is no longer judging him by those acts. God is the only one who can read the heart and is the only one that can decision whether someone who killed them self deserves to be resurrected. But yes, suicide is a sin, however, the only sin that the scriptures indicate that is an unforgivable sin is blasphemy against the holy spirit, not suicide. Therefore, as Act 24:15 says, there is hope for the unrighteous to live again, but only by the grace of God and his undeserved kindness for those who have taken their own lives.

Bible doesn't directly say that, in the days of old before science was so well used many had to commit suicide or suffer extreme pain and sorrow, like a broken thigh bone, trust me without drugs many commited suicide and were accepted into heaven, Why would Heaven leave you out because you escaped pain and sorrow? That doesn't make sense and shouldn't be doctrine any where.

Saul commited suicide to escape the torture of the enemy and you say that he is in Hell, and all the Marines and Military that went on suicide missions to protect your freedoms are not allowed in Heaven? pffft PLEASE

That would be the final, ultimate slap in the face to a sh*tty life. God: "Right, sorry, I know I gave you a pretty crappy life, and you tried to get to heaven early, but, well, in doing so you forfeited your heaven rights. so sorry. Well, there's always hell? What, that's what you were trying to get away from in life? Oh, yeah again, sorry. Well, rules are rules, and, uh, yeah, see ya" Awkward! He would be so embarrassed of his douchiness, haha.

But seriously, I never thought that a threat that you wouldn't get into heaven was a good enough scare tactic. But then again those aren't my beliefs anyway. Leaving behind hope for more of this world, the parts of this world that are good and worth waiting for your life to improve, that's what always caused me to want to hang on. You know, the hope that when things do improve in our crappy lives, we'll be there for the good that is to come.

The bible is just a big storybook. Do you believe everything you read? Assuming there is a heaven, one would assume that god would accept them as well, at least to help them if nothing else. The bible contradicts itself a lot. I don't know what to believe.

Where does it say they can't?

There are two references in the bible to suicide.

One is to a group of Jews that were locked in a tower as the tower burned, who jumped to their deaths to escape the heat.

It was Jesus who said it was not because they were wicked that this befell them, nor is their mass suicide viewed as a subject of condemnation, but rather the reference seems to be empathetic.

The other is King Saul, who fell on his sword so that the Philistines could not gain glory by killing him.

It seems to be a glorious, proud, and more honourable death, and is not necessarily condemned.

The simple answer to whether a suicidee goes to heaven, is that only God knows what is in their hearts, and only he can judge them, and I think each situation is unique.

Edit: I forgot Judas Iscariot! He is described as "going to where he belongs." So maybe he did not go to heaven, but that is not for the sake of his suicide.

Suicide is seriously contrary to justice, hope, and charity. It is forbidden by the fifth commandment

Grave psychological disturbances, anguish, or grave fear of hardship, suffering, or torture can diminish the responsibility of the one committing suicide

It is not for us to judge a person who has committed suicide. They are in God's hands now, and He will be their judge.

What the Bible does guarantee, is that ALL CIRCUMSTANCES, ALL MOTIVATIONS, and ALL JUSTICE will be considered before a ruling is made.

In other words, there will be no error as to the person's salvation. Trust in God and let your heart not be troubled.

Source(s): I love how the atheists parrot "There is no Heaven!!" If this were true....then there would be no atheists.

Don't worry about anyone who commits suicide, They don't go to heaven, nor do they go to hell. Nor anywhere else. Because Heaven & hell does not exist. Its all just make believe to scare people into believing that stupid religion.

Their life is over. Nothing happens when your dead. You no longer exist.
