President-elect B.O. is not a Bible believing Christian. Not only has he invited the Bishop to participate, but has also invited Rick Warren to as well. Pastor Warren is the leader of a religious movement, and it isn't necessarily Christian. His writings are clearly influenced by middle Eastern Mysticism and Hinduism.

    Belittling the Bible?

No, he is out and out disregarding it !

Gosh, I didn't see this question yesterday but I have to say that if a Christian is known by his fruits then I don't see how Mr. Obama could possibly be a Christian. So the only thing I can figure is, he had to do something to quiet down all of his supporters who didn't like Rick Warren being a part of the inauguration. I think Rick Warren is just being used by him, too, but I hope he has the courage to pray in Jesus' name like Franklin Graham did (when Mr. Bush was sworn in the last time). He was awesome. God bless!

We have had four presidents assassinated, all of which opposed a national of federal banking system. I believe Obama knows his history even if he knows nothing else. The Federal Reserve is stronger than our country because it makes our money, loans it to our government, regulates the interest and there is only one way from under it and that is to elect someone other than the same group of the 'good old boys club' that has been in power since before Lincoln. There is no difference in the two major parties because they are all slaves to the Fed and will remain so, as will everyone of us until someone breaks the fed and their pushers in D.C.

What? He's CRAZY. If the guy is gay-he can't be a bishop. A bishop has to be a husband of one wife. Goes to show you what our next president is.

By the way, I don't believe he's Christian. Actually, neither one are!

    A) President Elect Obama is not a Christian, That is evident by what he has said he believes about Abortion, and Homosexuality.

    B) He isn't so much belittling The Bible, as he is ignoring The Bible. The WORD of God is of secondary importance to him, as it is to all Liberals.

    C) None of this surprises me. He belongs to a belief system that believes in Inclusiveness, not Biblical standards of separation from what is evil.

Obama seems to be the typical politician who tries to appease everyone. It always seems to me that one cannot be true to one's convictions, or true to those he loves, if he vacillates on issues, if he gives in to pressure from others. If Obama were truly a Christian man, he would not give in and let an openly gay, unrepentant Bishop, have any part of his inauguration ceremony. One cannot give in to these things if they are a true Christian.

Your question reminds me of the words of Ghandi:

"I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."

Christians are supposed to pray for *everyone*.
