play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to help you imagine how the colors will look together. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think "canvas tan" (# 7531) might be a good choice.
You can take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:
You can get color suggestions & for $5 they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.

Red is a very interesting color because it matches so well with most colors. But I wouldn't go with red pillows and red walls, and white walls would just camouflage the white sofa. Dark to medium browns, grays, rusty browns, bronze colors and even olive greens go well with red. What you can do is to add two smaller accent pillows with one or two of these compatible colors to the red pillows you already have.
They can have some textured/upholstered look to make them stand out and differentiate them from the other pillows. Then you can match the wall color to the color of those accent pillows, and it would just make the red pillows pop that much more. The result would be more balance between the pillows and the wall. Off course you wanna make sure that the other stuff in the room matches as well-rug, wall decor etc.
But you really don't have to do the guessing game on this one. There are tools online you can use like Better Home and Gardens Color-A-Room free tool which allows you to change around colors of pillows, sofa, rug, walls etc. in a model room to get an idea of how they go together.
Hope your room ends up looking fabulous!

Buy red pillows with a pattern or color that you can use on your walls. Don't be so monochromatic. Tan or light coffee, lt.turquoise goes very well with the colors you stated. Add patterns and textures to liven the place up. Personally stay away from red on the walls. It tends to overwhelm everything else in the room. If you must, only one accent wall, and make it a burnt red.

tan is a good neutral color. This way, if you want to, you can add tan into your white and red scheme.
a medium grey is also nice.
Dont' do blue - because it'll look like the flag in there. I don't like too many primary colors in one room.
Whatever you choose, make sure that it pops against the white sofa.
(I'm getting a white sofa too. I plan to do a deep tan color to make them pop. Then I'm using 2 or three different blues and browns for pillows, with a brown area rug. I think the tans/browns will warm it up in there!)

red goes fantastically with neutral colours. you could do cream walls with a feature wall which you wallpaper with black and white paper.

Charcoal grey but if that's too drastic a lighter grey or tan would work.
