No. This is an ancient Mayan myth with absolutely no proof. Nobody knows when the world will end. Try reading the book of Matthew in the Bible. I think you will find your answers there!

Stupid people read a lot into Nostradamus' writings and then made books about that they sold to even stupider people. The world might end in 2012, but it might also end in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2014. It might not end until 3012.

What some idiot read into Nostradamus' work (because he wasn't a fortune reader, he was merely a contemporary critic of politicians and religious leaders, look it up) carries as much weight as the homeless man on the corner of your street preaching the end of times; Neither know jack.

the basis of that supposed calamity is the fact that the mayan calendar ended on 12/21/2012...it just stopped there. Of course the mayans stopped a lot earlier then that and they didn't have the calendar end there. Also Nostradamus predicted the end to be 12/21/2012 but it is possible he had an ancient chinese prediction of 2012 in mind. Since supposed seers have the same exact date there has been credence lent to the theory. Will it happen? I have no idea and neither does anyone else.

As a christian, I believe the world could end any time soon. Because-hopefully-we're all living in the present, you don't really notice it all. The world will end one day, just be the best person you ca be, at least try to know god. He's a man of love, you'll see that.

The bible does say that NO ONE knows the year day time or hour so the Mayan are wrong on that one, there is a asteroid that is almost as big as a planet that is in our path and is said to collide with earth. Go to discovery channel website, once you start to browse other things will show up and your curiosity will have you learning so much more than you thought you wanted to know. it's interesting how much the government keeps from us.
