What is your opinion of a 25 year old man having sex with a 16 year old girl?
A guy from my past is acting like a real jerk. When I was 16 we had sex then he moved away the next day and I didn't hear from him for 19 years. Now, long story short, he proves to be a flake who constantly makes promises he can't keep, flirts with me HARD (doesn't with other girls that I see) but tells me he's not interested in a relationship & has a girlfriend in another state among other issues. Should I take into consideration that he was in the wrong 20 years ago to have had sex with me? I just wonder what people's opinions are about this past sexual relation between a 25 year old man and a 16 year old girl. I was confused back then, and think now that he should have been the adult and not have done this with me. He should have known better right? Should this have been enough clue to realize he's a jerk?

Its hard to blame a 16 year old in that sort of situation.Please don't blame yourself.He was the adult in the situation and in my honest opinion a sleaze bag,and creep.He took advantage of you,and had his way with a confused minor who didn't know any better.He continues to flirt with you because you remind him of his youth and that particular escapade with you,which bolstered his ego back then and now deflates his character as a decent person today.Get away from him.And forget about him.Its the least you can do for yourself now.

I think age is a matter of the mind. Your maturity level says alot.
I know a 27 year old who is having a baby with a 17 yr old.
He doesnt seem like he can commit. And you're right he seems flaky. I wouldnt put any consideration into it, the past is the past. And yes, he should've known better. He isnt worth it,.

He's lucky he wasn't jailed.To bad of the stature of limitation on rape.Yes rape ! What can a child of 16 give consent to.He was the adult(in age anyway) and should have known better .Probably did and didn't care.Get counceling.
