How would we deal with an ineligible candidate because of assasination?
To become the POTUS certain criteria must be met (age, citizen, etc). If the POTUS is assasinated, the VP takes his place, then the Speaker, so on and so forth down the line.
Not all of those people need to fit the same requirements to have their jobs though. What if the Speaker isn't a natural born citizen, or is under 35 and everyone above them is assasinated? Do they still get to be POTUS, or do we skip them and move onto the next member in line?
Saxton, I don't want Obama assasinated. I wouldn't want any of our presidents assasinated, wheter or not I like them. I didn't vote for Obama, but I'm satisfied with him as POTUS. I was just wondering what the ruling would be. I know there is a long line of succesors in place in case the standing POTUS is "unable to perform his/her duties" and not all of them are eligible for the position. I just wanted to know what would happen if we ever got to that point.
Viveck, How is it a dumb question? I wanted to know what the conditions are when we have ineligible candidates. Why does the timing of it matter? I didn't threaten Obama or even say I wanted it to happen. Get over yourself and pull your head outta your a$$.

They get skipped, and Saxton is right, don't ask a dumb *** question like this on Obama's inauguration.
