What should I make tonight? ?

It is freezing out and there is a foot and a half of snow... I don't want to haul two toddlers out to the store to pick anything up. What should I make?

Here's what I have around...

orange bell peppers

acorn squash

chicken tenders

ground beef

tortillas

cheddar & jack cheeses

whipping cream

a few bags of various frozen veggies

apples

oranges

plus all the basics like cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, tuna, dry pasta, rice, canned tomatoes, pasta sauce, etc.

Whoever comes up with the best menu for me gets the points for best answer! Come on, get those creative culinary juices flowing for me. I'm spent!

    Idea number 1:

Make kind of casserole with the tenders, bell peppers(or frozen veggies), onions (if you happen to have them), rice and cream of mushroom soup. Bake for 30-45 min, then top with the cheese (if the rice is tender). Then broil until the cheese is golden brown.

    Idea Number 2:

    Make quesadillas:

Bell peppers, chicken tenders (if you have itallian dressing marinte the tender for at least 33-45 min first) or beef, and cheese.

    Idea Number 3:

Spagethi and sauce with hamburger in the sauce

    Idea Number 4:

Bake the acorn squash, then add butter and brwon sugar towrds the end. Bread the tenders and fry them up and serv with rice mixed with the frozen veggies.

    Number 5:

Hmmm do you have salsa, and chrese cheese? Melt the cream cheese in a sauce pan. Add the salsa. Add tuna if you want, and serve over hot noodles (egg noodles are teh best)

    Or.

Bread and fry the chicken. Get some hot pasta or rice and top with the breaded chicken and the creamy sauce.

    Number 6:

Just make a mix of the rice, hamburger, and veggies. Make this into a casserole if you want buy adding the cream of mushrooms or chicken soup.

    Number 7:

Heat a skillet and add one or 2 peeled/sliced apples, the bell peppers. When they start to get tender (and the apples start to brown).

Meanwhile start the rice, and lightly pound the tenders, season with salt and pepper.

Add the chicken to the peppers and apples, and cook until the chicken is cooked thru. Serv with the rice. Sorinkle on a little soy for a little salty to go with te sweetness of the apples and peppers.

    I will keep thinking.

saute the peppers and tomatoes but drain the tomatoes first. then cook the ground beef and chicken. you can have a beef and/or chicken taco.

and for dessert you can cut the apples and oranges up and pour a little sugar over them and put some whipped cream on top!

    bon appetite
