However, I personally pay the higher price to my vet for a few reasons:

1. Other than flea and tick control, I wouldn't want a vet whom I've never met to prescribe medications for my animal. Most online pet pharmacy sites still require a prescription for many items.

2. If something goes wrong, my vet knows instantly what they've prescribed and what alternates to suggest or how to fix the problem.

3.Because more and more people are using websites for medications, routine costs at Vet practices are going up. Medication and pet food sales help vets keep prices lower on shots and other medical procedures.
