I have a new HP and the volume on it is very low despite showing it is on the max. Tips to figure this out?

    Is the program you are using to play music or sound have the sound turned on low or something?Some music software has slider buttons that go loud or soft.

    Also laptop speakers aren't that good.Some don't go too loud.

    If you're on Vista, right click your volume icon and go to volume mixer, and make sure all of the volume bars are up.

    If you're on XP, double click your volume icon, and make sure all of them are up, especially "wave."
