Any respect for Robby Gordon after Dakar Rally?
Now that Robby Gordon had his best finish in the Dakar Rally, could he get a little acknowledgment for his racing abilities? He finished in third place, running one of two American Factory cars (Hummer H3/Corvette V8 engine). His engine was also restricted because of its type, while all the European and Japanese Turbo engines were not restricted. One thing which really helped was some bad luck with some really good competitors during the rally, but the Dakar is all about surviving, not just racing hard.
So, anyone willing to give Robby some respect?

I acknowledged his driving abilities a few days ago with a question after he finished third in the Dakar rally. He has a ton of talent. He is one of those drivers that can drive anything on wheels.
**Kuddos to Robby Gordon on a great 3rd place finish at the Dakar Rally and representing the Nascar world well.**

I've got tons of respect for Robby Gordon as a driver of all types of vehicles. He has done a tremendous job of staying viable and in the top 35 as an independent owner/driver. Kudos to him for staying true to himself and racing how, what, when and where he wants to!

I think he gained everyones respect when he bumped Jeff Gordon out of the way for a win at New Hampshire in 2001! oh that was a great race. I laughed so hard when Jeff tried to "pop Robbys tire" and completely messed it up. Good Times! Good Tims!

i have always respected Robbie as a driver and always will. He is usually right on any thing he argues about because he stands up for what he believes in and can race the wheels off of anything that moves!
He has Passion for the sport and that is what makes up a great driver.

Robby Gordon is like the Rodney Dangerfield of motorsports. The guy can drive any thing and post good results....it's a shame he hasn't made a bigger name for himself. I do respect his ability but honestly his attitude towards others (including fans) is what makes me not like him...don't hate him mind you...but I can't be called a fan.
Just an opinion as always.

To be honest, Robby has ALWAYS been on my Off-Road A-List!!
In Nascar, he's still a B-Lister which sometimes teeters on field filler.(ok, maybe not that harsh)
However, yes.....Congrats to Robby and his Dakar efforts. I honestly didn't expect anything less.
