Why are so many people still so excited by the inaugural speech? ?
I was disappointed. Obama is an excellent speaker and I really expected a lot from his inaugural speech. He is very charismatic and I expected him to really wow the people. I was surprised at how disjointed and uninspiring he was.
That is why I was amazed at how many thought his speech would be etched in stone it was so good.
Did you find the speech inspiring or were you, like me, let down?
I understand the the event itself was historical. I understand the excitement generated by history being made.

I think it was a good speech. On top of that, it was an extremely historical day that, I'm sure, inspired a lot of people. I'm guessing that that's why people are still excited over it.

Finally a speech on Hope from the President. Whether it was good or not (i thought it was inspiring and well done) it was a speech that was not inflated with fear and despair but rather hope and inspiration. We have finally lifted the blanket of fear that the Bush administration has shrouded upon us for their own personal gains. Que Viva USA!
