    Is Leigh pronounced Lee?

If so, no. I'm not fond of that spelling. Too many letters and confusion for nothing.

If it's pronounced Lay. That wouldn't be a form of Emily. But it would be Emma then Leigh next. Kinda neat!

If I saw Emma - Leigh I'd pronouce it Emma Lay. No matter what someone says, that is how it's pronounced. You can't spell something the wrong way and expect people to pronounce it your way. Like calling your kid Jomes and trying to convince people his name is James. No it's not, I can read. Don't make it difficult for your kid. Emily is a gorgeous name.

When I was a kid, I used to think if I had a girl I would name her Emma Leigh like that, but as an adult, I don't care for it as much. I think if you want your kid to be Emily, name her Emily.

Uncommon spellings can be cool, but I think they're a little overrated.

Though my name is Rachel and is spelled the simplest way, it's all too often misspelled, so that's why I refuse to have an uncommon spelling (though mine has the most common spelling) for any name.

Not really....like your trying too hard to be different.

I like unusual names for babies. But taking a common name and spelling out each syllable isn't clever, it's a lifetime of confusion.

Try coming up with a unique name.

Is that your given name? Emily is such a beautiful, classic name. Why ruin that? Don't get mad at me. After all, you asked and I'm being honest. I thik it's trendy and a little juvenile. But this is coming from a woman named Sam, so what do I know?

Actually I love it spelled like that. In my opinion, it gives the plain-ness of "emily" more class.

    Emma-Leigh is so pretty :3.

It's kind of interesting, not sure if I like it spelled that way. I love the name though :)

Its kind of like my name Ashley

I wanted to change my spelling to Ashleigh because it was different but my parents didn't go for that lol...

    Emilee

    Ashlee

Names can be spelled so many ways it's not even funny. People even make up spellings for their names just to be different

I absolutely love it spelled that way. I really dont care for that name but this name is something I would consider using it is the best way yet to spell it

I personally don't... but only because people are putting leigh after everything these days. But I do appreciate different spellings like emalee.
