Did you hear about Caylee's grandfather?

From all indications the grandparents are in extreme grief and the grandfather is having a hard time dealing with the death of a loving granddaughter and coming to the realization that his beloved daughter could be the murderer. Many grandparents in this situation would question the joys of living at a time like this.

How would you like to live under a microscope, being the main feature on Nancy Grace's television program for months? Reporters camping out around your house day and night. Try having a life, making a living a paying bills with all this going on. He is heartbroken over losing his granddaughter and now his daughter is facing prison or the death penalty if convicted. Something happens nearly every day that involves his home and family. I think he has done good to hold up this long. There is a good book called Evil Genes by Barbara Oakley, about criminals and genetics. I think his problem was that he was naive about his daughter, psychopaths are the most charming and deceitful of all people, it's something you would have to experience to believe.

Yes, I heard. I never once thought they were involved but, I do feel deep down in their hearts they know their daughter did it. I often wonder if they knew how she was towards her daughter how come they let her her take Caylee away. She had her own room there in their home and they let her go with their daughter and didn't for weeks even check up on her. I think they might be feeling the guilt now over that too. Where did they think that Casey was going with her daughter ? I would have called the cops right then and there if I knew my daughter was a bit nutty and wanted to bring my grandchild to some unknown place for an extended length of time and eventually sought custody of her. They had to know from way back then when Casey was small growing up that she was a bit " off ".

His suicide attempt was a cry for help--I think if he really intended on doing it, he would have. The texts and stuff I think were indications that he's distraught, possibly guilty, over having to cover for a selfish daughter and a wife who won't accept the truth and were signs that he needs help.Losing a family member, not to mention all the drama his own daughter has caused his family, is very hard anyone. And who knows what really happened to add to to his misery.

Yeah, I think those guys are whacko; I doubt we'll ever find out the truth. The only thing I can think of when I see Casey is,"Oh, what a tangled web weave..." All of this started with a simple lie and could have been avoided if she'd just told the truth. That just goes to show that everything you do affects the people around you.

They have to be involved or EXTREMELY NAIVE

There was Evidence found on their home computer. and the day Caylee went missing she was actually seen on VIDEO tape at her grandparents house. Just because he is suicidal doesn't mean he doesn't have something to hide. It may finally be getting to him

I did hear about this. My thoughts are that George and Cindy knew deep in their souls that Casey was involved, and they figured things out back in November, and when Caylee's remains were found in December, that was the confirmation for them. It's really sad. I don't believe anyone other than Casey was directly involved in this crime. Casey may have told brother Lee something after the fact.

I did hear about it and no I don't think the grandparents are involved.

Ever lost someone you love deeply? You can't think straight plus they have had the media to contend with and screaming angry people in their yard. Their precious granddaughter went missing, then the idea that your own daughter could have killed her? No normal parent would ever want to admit to themselves, let alone to the whole world, that someone you brought into the world could be so evil.

Unless and until I hear otherwise, I feel badly for them.

As for Casey, give me the key to lock her up with.

Threats of suicide indicate feelings of guilt. Now the defense can put reasonable doubt on the table for Casey. I think George is an abusive man who may well have fathered Caylee.

That whole family is nuts. I don't feel sympathy for any of them, with the exception of the little girl...who would have grown up with these lunatics and turned into one herself.

Don't bash the guy right now. He apparently tried to kill himself. The media needs to back off.

He was probably in mourning over his granddaughter and what his daughter might have done.

I think the worst think we could do right now is to ostracize the guy. He's living his own public version of hell.

Welp, they may just be so tired of it all and so disappointed in their daughter. Don't know. He did leave and go to a Motel and wrote a sucicide letter. Maybe the stress just got to him. We shall see. I think their daughter led them down the garden path. I think she is a liar and killed her child. We will see how this pans out. Cheers.
