It's a beautiful song.. My FMIL chose this song for her and my fiancee...

I am planning my wedding and I have a nine year old son. I want to to dance with him for symbolic reasons at my wedding and have thought long and hard about song choices. I would say that two songs that I know of that are about a mother and a child (not necessarily a son) are Thanks For My Child by Cheryl Pepsi Riley. However this one contains a reference to a father who was not around and would not be my first choice. Another is If I Could by Regina Belle. It is very beautiful. It speaks of her love for her child as she raise the child. There is also A Song for Mama by Boys II Men. Also, try The Rose and Wind Beneath My Wings by Bette Midler and instrumental versions of songs like What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong or Songbird by Kenny G.

I Hope You Dance by LeAnn Womack is a good song, although not specifically about mother and son.
