Does this bother anyone else?
Why do people purposely misspell words on here? I really can't stand it! The most annoying words on here that i've seen is wut(what), da(the), dat(that) and here is my all time favorite (i'll give it to you in their sentence)... "What the most comterablest underwear"... the what? I know most of you that do this are young but seriously it's not cute and it makes my brian actually hurt trying to decipher what you are trying to say! If you are unsure use your spell checker! Anyone find any other spellings on here that drive them nuts too??

It drives me absolutely, positively bonkers!!! Most of it is coming from the younger set who are growing up with texting. Most of them have no idea how to spell, use proper punctuation or proper grammar, and they don't even think they SHOULD know those things! They're too lazy to type out all the letters of a word and most of the time wouldn't know what they all were anyway. When they actually grow up, and realize that spelling, grammar and punctuation are actually IMPORTANT if they want to be taken seriously, they won't know how to use them and they'll all look like they are just stupid. Whoever made texting possible should be imprisoned for life!
Sorry, had to vent. It's one of my biggest pet peeves!

Yes, and it's darn annoying!
Seriously, they actually have time to purposely bastardize words this badly? It's not cool, it's horrendously sad!
By the way it's a gross misconception to say that it's the language of "da hood" because that's not true. A good majority of the misspellings on here are derived from too much texting.
And I think that off comment about underwear...I think they meant to say comfortable underwear? I don't know.

If it's in text message 'language' I get annoyed and don't bother to read the whole thing. If it's misspelled or the wrong word altogether, it can also change the meaning of the question. I don't answer if there's a chance I really don't understand what they meant to say. But what really gets me is when NO punctuation is used and it's just one long run-on sentence. After four or five lines, I have to stop and take a breath. And, of course, I don't try to finish reading it.

Yes, but I think you're mistaken when you suggest that people misspell purposely. In a lot of cases, the writers think the spelling they've chosen is correct. Makes me crazy, too.

They're just trying to be cool... it's the language of "da hood". Ugh, I can't believe that just came from my own fingers.
Someday we won't even be able to recognize the English language we grew up with. Everyone just wants to spell things phonetically. Pity.

Yes it does. I hate seeing all of those.
I'm dyslexic and I don't think I type that badly! In fact it exacerbates the whole situation for me.
