Is It My Imagination, Or Is The Pope Looking More More Like A Lying Nazi Everyday?

Sorry Catholics, but I grew up grossly abused in a perfect Catholic family, and I know when creeps are lying. I believe this pope is a perfect lier like Bush and his "kind." I mean, forget the Jews, this pope looks and acts like a real creepo. Would you want him to be your daddy?

I'm sure Catholics are not the only ones who abuse kids. I'm sure there have been Jews, Muslims, Hindus and Atheists who have abused children. I can't compare anyone to nazi's unless they are going around murdering people. I haven't seen the pope doing that. What exactly has he lied about?

He is old. He may look creepy, but that doesn't mean he is. I saw him when he came to Washington DC. He is gentle, full of love for God and for humanity. He is a great leader and defender of the faith. I have the greatest respect for him

John Paul II was more popular with the people, but then he was an actor when he was growing up. He loved to be in front of an audience, Pope Benedict is not so gregarious, but that doesn't make him any less a wonderful pope.

    Problems with your statement:

    1. A perfect family would not have abused you. Your family was obviously dysfunctional.

    2. A perfect liar would not be detectable. For you to claim that you have detected a lie would be to prove yourself wrong.

    3. Bush has never been shown to be a liar. He was accused of such on the basis that the international intelligence reports that the CIA relied on were later found to be faulty.

4.The last two sentences are completely irrational. I don't even know what you are trying to say, let alone how they relate to the rest of your "point".

I am Jewish and I have respect and affection for Catholics. This Pope has "issues." Thank G-d not all Catholics listen to him. I think most Catholics worship G-d but follow the Pope only as lessor icon, thankfully..

For any Catholic that does actually follow the words of the Pope he has set them back in time. He pretty much single handedly threw out the years of work of Jewish and Catholic relations that spawned the writings of Nostra Aetate.

The Nostra Aetate was attempt at achieving respect for religious diversity but its execution was hindered by heavy extremist Muslim influence. I think this particular Pope is hindered by that same extremist influence and discounts the voices of moderation.

I am also a Catholic. I think this Pope is quite good personnally. I do not understand why he would creep you out. And yes, I would be honoured if he were my daddy.

Why are you "sorry" .. that is OTT : you are disconnected Your alleged personal abuse is surely not a generic thing exclusive to any

    particular group

Sadly, to a chocoholic. bulls-eyes candy are no recompense.. doesn't mean that all and sundry are to be subjected to your carelessly considered tirade.

IMAGINATION: no ... that requires a smigin of coherence.

PAPAL VISAGE; back to your box of chocolates: boo hoo, l want all the double centres.

    Yes, it is your imagination.

Charm is deceptive and beauty fleeting. (Proverbs 31:30)

Surely a mature and spiritual person like you does not judge a book by its cover or a person by what he or she looks like.

I wonder what you and I will look like when we are 81 years old.

    With love in Christ.

I am Catholic and yes, he is a bit creepy. Certainly not as likable as John Paul II.
