How do I confront a neighbor that I believe stole from my house?

Question

I went on a cruise in Dec. and had a pet sitter staying at my house. But my neighbor/friend offered to look in during the day on the pets when the pet sitter was at work. I have alot of handcrafted jewelry/beads etc. I noticed a week or so ago that one of the pieces that the neighbor had admired is missing. I really don't believe the pet sitter took it for several reasons - she came highly recommended, this kind of thing isn't her style and if she was going to steal something, I hardly think it would be this particular piece. 

It's not hugely valuable - but it was very sentimental  and the beads were brought back from Africa by a friend many years ago. I had even told the neighbor that fact when she's admired it in the past. 

What do I do? Confront her in which case I would guess she'd deny it? 
I have no proof but I honestly can't think of anyone else who would do this? I'm equally hurt and angry to think someone I trusted would do this.

I am sorry this happened to you.  Even though you don't think the dog sitter took this, there are only 2 people that were in your home when your were away that you are aware of.  

I would ask each of them individually - very nicely - but concerned.
I'd say
"When I was away, was there anyone else in the house when you were here?  A boyfriend, friend?  Most likely they'll say no.  Umm. You know the piece that I had with the beads from Africa? Well, I can't find it.  I saw it right before I left, because I thought about bringing on the cruise.  Do you recall seeing it at all?  Oh, I'll ask (the other person, petsitter or neighbor) if they saw it.  Maybe they know something."

You can't come out an accuse anyone, but if you ask them about it, you will be able to see their reaction.  Most people with a guilty conscience can't lie very well.  If it was your neighbor and she took it, there is no way that she could possibly wear it and get caught.  It might just magically reappear.  You also might find out that the neighbor or the pet sitter had a guest that might have taken it.

well i got stole before it was creepy maybe call the police or ask them and tell them had you seen it or can i have a check that you maybe have it or something like that
