Why my internet connection keeps disconnecting?

I use the at&t 2wire modem and at random times it looses signal for no apparent reason. I checked every connection make sure everything is plugged in properly from the phone jack to the filter from the modem to my computer. I runned a scan and no viruses also if I let windows check for a solution says windows can't fix the problem that its a technical issue from my ISP. I contacted my ISP but they say Im receiving 100% of the signal. it happens at random times after the connection gets lost right away I get my signal back. Does any one know what can it be? any help I would appreciate.

Update:

Also sometimes my phone looses signal and there is no dial tone cause to rain.

hmm odd problem, your best bet call ur isp again, and ask for a new modem , see if this helps, but the part of you phone losing signal. i think it something to do with the box( well at least how its in canada at my house outside a box with all the stuff) ask them to come and do a complete checkup. Your paying for a service and you deserve to get it fixed.

    Ok, maybe a few reasons.

    1) Haunted houses can affect signal.

    2) Dial-up (if it is) has slow connectivity.

    3) Router maybe faulty. My wireless on WLAN is doing that.

one night is fine next day it won't work unles I un-plug the Wireless and plug it back in.

    4) Do you use apps that drain Bandwidth?

    -------------------------------------------

    Phone solution:

    1) Haunted houses again.

    2) Hill, cliffs and sea etc...

    can effect the signal.

    3) If you Phone and PC share the same connection

    then bandwidth issue again.

Upgrade to broadband and keep you AT&T provider for phone line.

    Best Of Luck.
