allergic reaction to plugs or Infection?
Last week I got new plugs they were 00g and I was a 0g. The last time I had 00g was about a year ago and I used the same tapers to go back up to 00g. I'm not careless, i cleaned everything thoroughly just like i had any other time i was going up a size. I have to say my biggest problem is that although i can use tapers, i am allergic to the bands so i have to switch from the tapers relatively quickly before my ears get irritated. Any who, (this is the part where i went wrong) the flesh tunnels that i got along with the plugs were acrylic, and i had never worn acrylic before and i put those in right after i stretched the lobes. stupid me, i know. I hadn't realized that it was bad to do that because like i said, this is the first time i had ever used them. Any ways. Now my ears are swollen and there is pus coming out of them and my glands are swollen. It's been like that for a couple of days now. I changes the flesh tunnels back to my 0g flush tunnels because they are metal and i never had a problem with them before. I just don't know what else to do.

If even your glands are swollen, I think you're having an allergic reaction.
I'm allergic to the bands too, turns out I'm allergic to everything with latex in it... Some acrylic earrings contain latex in them... Maybe you're allergic to latex as well?
I'd stick to metal earrings for now, they're more sanitary in the long run anyway because plastic type earrings can trap infection, making them really difficult to clean. :)
