Did you pay your STATE income tax, State sales taxes, your State property taxes?
If you paid all these State taxes, your payroll taxes, your Federal Income taxes....do you think it is fair you should pay for the deficits in New York and California who has supported welfare programs which has put the entire Nation in debt?
I paid all these taxes in Florida and it has been a hardship and I don't think I should be penalized for programs in other states whose priorities are in direct opposition to my beliefs & constitutional rights. How long must I pay for payoffs to politicians?
It's a big bailout package and billionaires are rewarded for their political support on my back and for programs for which I strongly oppose as well as rewarding tax evaders being awarded with leadership in the highest government programs and I just wonder when the populace will rise up and say 'NO MORE'. We've been used and abused enough. Have we just become so brainwashed that if someone/anyone has a particular label we have no right to expect any explanations or logical answers.

If you actually take the time to add up all the Federal, State and Local taxes you pay it will make you ill. Many of them are invisible such as excise tax on tires, various fees for licenses, permits etc. Do not forget road tolls and gasoline taxes.
Then there are all the taxes put on various businesses all along the supply chain that are passed along to you through higher prices.
You cannot own and operate a car without car insurance. This was not the case up until the 1970's. The only people who really needed car insurance were people who had their cars financed or owned expensive to replace newer cars or were homeowners or wealthy. The insurance was to protect your assets.
Poor people with old cars had nothing to loose. So they had no insurance. Now it is mandatory. That costs anywhere from a few hundred to over a thousand depending.
If you build something on your own property, you must have permits which have a fee and build according to a code that often costs more to do and in many cases you need the services of a licensed plumber, electrician or carpenter which also adds cost.
You pay interest on loans your State, county or local government borrows, too. You pay closer to 80% of your income in fees and taxes as it already is.

Yes I paid all my taxes and I'm from the great state of Illinois the politicians pay to play state. I think all the politicians in the states and government should not take pay increases for year and help their states out. The people pay too much to them any way.

When more than half of the citizens of this nation receive a check from the government, do you really think enough will "rise up and say 'NO MORE'? We need to replace ALL of the professional panderers in Washington, DC with people who have read, understand and respect the limits placed on the federal government by the Constitution of the United States. We need to replace the state panderers who vote for state taxpayer funded programs that lead to bankruptcy.

I agree with your premise but the fact is that the wealthy pay the lions share of taxes and much higher percentages than the rest of us- plus dont forget the bottom 40% basically doesnt pay a penny in federal income tax and in some states like mine their property tax bill is capped too

We don't pay state tax in Texas.
Anyway get your facts straight.
Our economy is paying for the actions of Enron, Tyco, Worldcomm and the slew of other massive corporate crimes of the last decade.
-What in the world are you so opposed to anyway?
Education? Health Care? Infrastructure?

There is so little logic in your rant that it would take all afternoon to explain the fallacies in you alleged premise, let alone try to figure out what point you are trying to make other than that you don't want to pay taxes.
