geo prism (toyota corolla) stumbles and stalls?

i have a 94 geo prism 1.6l. dohc. and it stumples and stalls when warm and using any throttle other than very gentle. it also stumbles at idle when coming off freeway. i have a hunch its flooding but not sure. i have replaced the fuel pressure regulator 3 times (2 used one new) and no luck the catalytic converter is good, new spark plugs/cap/rotor. any ideas..... thank you

Update:

when cold it runs good and with gentle acceleration it is fine when warm

Well to me it sounds like your timing belt or chain. You should go and have that checked out. I say check the timing belt first then if thats not it have them look at your throttle adjustment on the car and make sure its set the right way. Now if your driving the car and it stalls at a stop sign or something. you may have a bad alternator. So have that checked as well. Im pretty sure its going to be your timing belt though

So check: Timing belt, Throttle, Alternator

I would check and see if your Mass air flow sensor is dirty.

It is located in the air tube an dis held in by 2 screws.

Make sure the Ignition is off unplug it remove the 2 screws and take it out.

Look in it and see if the 2 wires are dirty.

you can clean them off with brake Clean and then blow them off.

    Reinstall in reverse order.

Did you change the plugs, cap, and rotor three times too? Maybe you should change the regulator a couple of more times so you are really really really sure!

Take it to the junkyard and leave it there.
