Cardinals fans, how does it feel to have lopsided officiating?

A bullsh*t 'roughing the passer' penalty, no-calls on the Steelers, and then no review on the last play? As a Seahawks fan, I feel your pain. The Steelers played a good game, but it sickens me to see it go down like that AGAIN! Your team played it's heart out and represented the NFC West well. You should be proud... understandably bitter, but proud.

Like any other game we play in

Officiating was horrendous! Even the announcers mentioned Mike Holmgren and the Seahawks.

I said in the 4th qtr, watch for the "makeup" calls. When a coach has to overturn 2 calls made on the field, and they don't review the last play of the game. What a disgrace.

I am neither a Steelers nor a Cardinal fan. But who didn't want to see a jump ball in the endzone for the last play? Now that would have been a fitting ending.

The officiating was poor, I think we can all agree. But what really stinks is the one-sided nature of the calls. The failure to call penalties on the Big Ben for intentional grounding, the roughing the holder call, the constant holding calls on the Cardinals, the failure to call a penalty on Holmes for using the ball as a prop, the two overturned calls that Whisenhunt was forced to challenge, and the failure to review the final Cardinal play of the game.

The Steelers just about won, and with more than dodgy officiating.

    Robbed.

let me answer this for everyone mmkay:

The roughing the passer call was legit considering that fact that Big Ben had the ball released for about 1 seconds BEFORE he was hit and thats going to draw the flag everytime especially in today's NFL

No calls against the steelers they were heavily penalized in the fourth quarter which help set up the Cardinals scores

The fumble by Warner in the last ten seconds was reviewed because all plays in the last two mins of half/game are automatically reviewed and they didn't need to take all that extra time because cleary Warner's arm goes back with the ball and come forward with out it!

Although they lost I'd like to take the time to congradulate the Cardinals on their season because honestly I thought they wouldn't even get passed the Falcons in the Wild Card round. Next season watch out Cards 'cause the Niners are in your rear-view mirror and we're gonna give you a run for the division title. Peace out see ya guys in September.

I wouldn't say lopsided. Saying lopsided is kind of a sore loser cop out thing to say. Arizona played a good game and should be proud. I'd say slanted. the roughing the passer call was probably the only REALLY blown call in the game. Although I wish they would have reviewed the last play. I really wanted to see fitzgerald try to out jump 4 steelers.

No-calls, yes. I did notice a couple of holds that were not called. That happens in every game though.

The running into the holder penalty (if that's what you mean) was correct though, and the last play was confirmed:

    (quoted from the link below:)

"According to NFL VP of Officiating Mike Pereira, the replay official upstairs did see the play clearly."

“We confirmed it was a fumble,” said Pereira. “The replay assistant in the replay booth saw it was clearly a fumble. The ball got knocked loose and was rolling in his hand before it started forward. He has to have total control.”

(note: I'm not a Cardinals fan. Or a Steelers fan. I'm already getting tired of hearing about the officials though. It was a very good game.)

Welcome to playing the Steelers everyone. Im a die hard Ravens fan and have had season tickets since they been Ravens in 96. You can understand Im really angry this year losing to them 3 TIMES....But all 3 of the games to me was all on the officiating. We face them 2 times every year and its ALWAYS the same. No matter where we play. Good luck to whoever plays them again cause Ill be rooting for you.

I'm not a Cardinals fan but lets not forget about the fact that every time the Cards were putting together a drive a "holding" penalty would always set them back. Out of 4 phantom holding calls they were only able to recover and score 1 time... that's 3 touchdowns and/or field goals that they were robbed of.

DJ Jazzy: That roughing the passer penalty was BS and you know it... also it's so convenient that the refs totally ignored the BLATANT intentional grounding call on that play... just exactly who was Roethlisberger throwing to on that one? I just saw the replay on NFL total access and even they called the refs on that sh*t.

Oh my gosh, why must the loser always complain about "poor officiating" to cover up the fact that they lost? Get over it. How about the touchdown in the beginning of the game for the Steelers that was called back, huh? Don't hear ya harping about that load of bull call.

Quit being such a sore loser and maybe, just maybe, your team will win next time.

I'm not a Card fan, but I think that performance was BS by the officials. I'm not convince enough to think that NFL is fixed, but the reffing was just horrible. They only got one call right, and it was the Big Ben run for the TD that call back (and should be called back 3 yrs ago, too, he drag the football to the goal line when he was clearly down). And why wouldn't they review the last play? Even Ed Hoculli in this situation will take a timeout and take a look at it.
