Do you think it is interesting that February (Black history month) is a complete block this year?

Coincidence? We do have our first African American president. It's not often that the days in a month form a complete block on a calendar.

Well it happens that way every six years.

But I'd certainly say that is neat that this year happens to be one of them!

  • I'm white and love the fact that there is Black History Month. I love learning about different things & people. My ONLY comment though...is that people are making this into a "black vs white" thing with President Obama. But he is half white too....so it's kind of like a transitioning in a way. He's got the best of both worlds :)

Didn't really think of that. More coincidence than anything else. The 13th also falls on a Friday this month...hopefully no one will read into that and try to predict dire stuff.

No different race has a 'historic past month' because of the fact no different race has been so oppressed in the historic past of the international, unfastened international or in any different case. The historic past month is entirely a bone thrown to assuage some human beings. i in my view locate it embarrassing, and prefer we did no longer have it. yet by employing the seems of a few of those posts, it quite is sparkling we nonetheless have an prolonged thank you to pass, and a few human beings choose the practise with reference to the contributions of Blacks in our historic past, different than the racist stereotypes perpetuated by employing hate. I accept as true with cleaveto's placed up.

Actually it happens once about every seven years or so (Leap Year throws the calculations off a bit), so it's quite common and not really interesting at all.

And Obama is more White than Black. Didn't you know? He's 50% White, 43.75% Arab, and only 6.25% Black. That low percentage doesn't even legally qualify him as Black, since you have to be at least 12.5% of a given minority to be able to claim it as yours.

Obama being 'Black' was the cornerstone of his campaign, because without it he would've been an Arab-American running for office and that would not fly. It's just another in an extensive list of lies you've been fooled into believing.

    Have a nice month!
