Birthday party ideas for a two year old?
My son will be two in June and I'm having trouble figuring out something to do for his birthday.
I want to do a party, but I'm kind of torn here.
I'd like to do something fun, but there are some things preventing that.
For instance, the other children that will be at his birthday party will be my 6 year old nephew, my 6 year old brother, and my 6 month old niece. I thought that something like Chuck E. Cheese would be fun, but my brother is highly allergic to milk.
I considered a beach thing, but that's kinda out of the way.
Does anybody have any suggestions?

at this age, the party is more for the parents. I spent hundreds on my kids first birthdays, now I wish that I had saved that money for their later birthdays.
Just do something small, a few games for the kids, prizes, cheap and simple, maybe splurge for catering for the adults.
Make him feel special, a big blown up picture of him, a cake of something he loves, simple.
Just have fun.

Pinatas are fun!! When we do that we just have each child go one at a time and only get one or 2 hits each turn. If they aren't getting it beat up enough have an adult take a good whack at it after everyone has had at least one turn. You could print a large Tonka truck, cut out a wheel, make color copies of the wheel and play "pin the wheel on the truck!" I don't know if your little one will get into the games as much as the other kids, but I bet he will love watching!! You may also want to have a side table with some fun crafts on it. Just some crayons and coloring pages. Maybe black and white copies of a tonka truck you can color. Link below for Tonka coloring pages. Maybe check your local resale shop for a game like Elefun, or play golf or something like that they can do inside and still fun for your 2 year old. Have fun!!!

You could have a party at Build A Bear, The Zoo, Aquarium, or your house. You can take the food to all the above places so you wont have to worry about your brother. Also if you want to do Chuck E Cheese give them a call and they may let you bring some of your own food for your brother. If you have it at your house you can have tables set up with play dough, Shaving Cream, and other crafts for them to do.

This is between a rock and lactose intolerant place. I would say have a party at home, but with that many children,clean-up won't be much fun. I would look around for any other food places that have indoor playgrounds for smaller children. With a menu that offers things that won't give problems with an allergy. I thought about Mcdonald's...but that may not be exactly what you're looking for.
