It takes me about 6-7 minutes to get to work via car and about 10 via bicycle (during the summer) for a 2 mile trip. I live in Milwaukee WI.
I recently switched jobs to be so close to work, and it really saves me a lot of time. Previously I had to travel 20 miles to work (~30 minutes) and 20 miles home (~45mins to an hour in rush hour).
Interestingly, once I get to work it usually takes me another 5-6 minutes to actually get to my desk because our manufacturing plant is so huge.
