Referring to oneself in the 3rd person, do you think it signifies anything?

As if, for instance, I routinely said or wrote "barry c says" such and such, or "barry c thinks" yatta yatta; "if you ask barry c..."

Edit: I'm not talking about me doing this at all; the above are meant to be examples. It is a trait that I have observed in other people, other Y!A participants, in fact, and just wondered about it.

    It indicates that you spend too much time updating your Facebook status.

    If that's the context you're trying to convey, I think it's humorous. If you're trying to imply authority ... not so much.

    i think if someone that do that too much it shows that he's not really confident with him self.
