Why would God allow...?

Why would God allow a 2 ½ year old child to suffer and potentially/eventually die from cancerous tumors?

Update:

I too am an Apologist, but it is easy to see things from the outside looking in. My son is dying and the question I have…why would God allow this?

Aspartame is known to cause tumors in the brain and it is possible it can be passed on in the womb. Blame greedy bastards that put it into all sugar free drinks.

Source(s): Just seen your add on , I'm very sorry my friend just went through the same. Here (IN IRELAND) I know of a boy who got cured by the glove of Padre Pio, Miracles can happen, could you research to find out if there is one near you? God bless again I'm very sorry.

I'm sorry for your suffering. I will pray for you and your son. There's nothing I can say that can lessen the pain of your circumstances, but I know of a video called "99 Balloons" which may offer you some insight; it's posted on You Tube. The Bible says God works all things together for good (Roman 8:28). Jesus also says in John 9, vs. 1-3 that sometimes bad things like this happen so that God's works might be displayed through it. We don't know why these awful things happen, but we do know that through it all, God is in charge.

When my nephew was murdered at the age of 23, I wondered the same question. I cried out to Him, "Why?".

Let me assure you that God did not cause the child to get cancer but He knew of it. It is the condition of this fallen world. Satan is the author of death and disease. God's angels were encamped around that child as ministering spirits and allowing the child's spirit to be at peace. If you are saved and prayed, then the Holy Spirit was there with you carrying you through this awful time as only He can.

God allowed the death of the child as only He knows the reason. He did not allow it to "punish" others or for any negative reason.

It is during times like these that IPeter 5:7 entreats us to "cast our care upon him; for he careth for you". The little child went to Paradise and is with Jesus and out of pain fear. Think on the child's happiness and freedom and release your agony to the Lord.

    God Bless you.

No God doesn't work in mysterious ways. He wouldn't do this at all, but he does give us a promise and something to hope for in the future. please look. Why we die and what happens to us when we die on

Ah, the old problems of suffering and evil!

If you remove gods it seems to make more sense.

Losasha seemz to think "God works in mysterious ways-----you can't blame atrocity on him"

Right. God does the good stuff, the devil does the bad stuff.

    Right. Got it. Check. Uh-huh.

Source(s): BTW, who do you blame for your lack of education?

GOD is not the one that brings sickness or death upon us.....

but GOD does remove one from sickness and pain from dying.

Everyone is appointed to die...The reasons they die are for God's purpose..For some it will push them away, for others it will bring them closer to Him...

When King David's son died, he didn't blame God..He rejoiced that one day he would be brought to him and see him again..

Because he has a plan... and if that means making an innocent child and its parents suffer, then so be it.

nah actually its because god doesn't exist. good use of a rhetorical question.
