Does the majority of the worlds population notice and feel what's around?

I'm constantly aware of my surroundings and it all affects me negatively and positively. Just call me a contradiction (which I've never seen as a bad thing) but honestly, am I the only person in the world who sees something beautiful in poverty? and sometimes I feel so wrong to say that because I've never lived in such a way but still, I find something so beautiful In what the majority of the worlds population pities and I also understand why that's so.

Even with birds, how I'd love to own a bird and have something so wonderful sleep beside me in its cage.

But, that's just the problem. I cannot, it's most likely happier in a cage at petco with a fake forest background than alone in my room still caged up.

There's so much controversy in my mind and it's driving me nuts, I've just always wondered.....

Do a lot of people experience this? DO they notice beautiful things in "ugly" things" are they ever so overpowered by smells that it brings them to tears even if it has no reference to any experience or time in one's life??

What's wrong with me?

You can throw that in there after you answer my first question.

The absence of money can be a beautiful thing indeed. It helps us think about what is really important, and notice things in more in-depth ways that we are used to taking for granted

It may not be an easy life, but it can be more rich spiritually

As far as the smells thing goes, I'd guess that maybe it triggers a long lost scent from your subconscious mind that was from a pleasant time or situation in the past, but that you cannot consciously put your finger on

And as far as birds go, I think they'd be most happy outside and free living out their natural lives

Of course. People have to be grateful for what they've got. There is always beauty in something, and if there's no beauty, there's kindness instead. Theres nothing worng with you. If everyone thought like you do, the world would be a better place.

There is nothing wrong with you. It all depends on how one thinks. If you pity or blame your self ,then you are bound to see only negative things in all situations...Some times these kind of situations are to help us think more than we have been doing hence coming up with better solutions to our current situations.

So those positive thinkers always see a silver lining even in a bad situation.

    Thanks for sharing dear.

  • I feel what is around me, but don' necessarily notice it, as I can be out of it. I don't find beauty in poverty, but I can find good things in the most bleak situations. I don't think there is anything wrong with you. you have opinions too.
