Shell,
Hi, my name’s Feran and I’m working with the Internet Explorer Outreach Team to provide assistance and help answer questions people might have about Internet Explorer.
The Internet Explorer 8 release candidate was just made available last week. If you are interested in or thinking about trying IE8 RC1 here are a couple great links to check out that will provide you with some helpful information.
This site actually gives you the opportunity to test some of the new security and compatibility features in IE8: http://www.ie8demos.com/tryit/
The official site provides a good overview of all the new features, as well as answers for many frequently asked questions that users have. You can also download IE8 at this site if you think it’s something that might work for you: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer...
I hope this helps,
Feran

For the most part it is safe. When using it to view certain pages though the graphics and sizes of objects can mess up. I downloaded and tested the beta months and months ago and it did not mess up my computer.
