Evolution: Humans evolved from monkeys?
Do the Christian nuts actually think this is true, or are they just trolling? I seriously can't tell anymore...
xenon, you seem to have an evolutionary theory mixed up with evolution itself. Though it's okay, it's already apparent that a religious mind's ability to comprehend a minor word variation is lacking.

No. It really is just pure ignorance.

There are a whole lot of logical fallacies that people use when they know that there side of a debate is wrong, but can't admit it. E.g. in the 'ad hominem' argument, you attack the person with whom you are debating, for instance, by calling them an idiot, rather than arguing against the points he/she is making.
The whole 'humans evolved from monkeys' thing is just another of those - this time it's called the Ignoratio Elenchi, 'irrelevant theory', 'straw man', or 'red herring' argument, and/or the 'ad ridiulum' argument. The former being the idea that you put something completely irrelevant on the table in the hopes that your opponents go after that, rather than sticking to the main points of the argument. The latter means that, knowing you have nothing really with which to refute your opponent, you through something completely absurd on the table in the hopes that the debate will degenerate into something completely ridiculous, again distracting people from the main points.
Largely, when someone uses these types of arguments, he/she is saying 'I've got nothing, but I won't admit it, so I'll try to distract you from the debate instead'.

I think you'll find that there are many Christians who do actually believe that.
Most of them would probably change their thinking if they were actually taught about evolution.
Some of them wouldn't.
What we have to remember is that most Christians receive a limited education because of their religion - parents at religious schools keep trying to prohibit the teaching of evolution, or worse, teach creation theory in science classes!
But that doesn't mean that there aren't a lot of intelligent Christians out there, who - while they may never agree with the Theory of Evolution - at least have the capacity to learn about it and understand it.

The Delusion of evolution. Evolution is based on nothing but assumptions and wishful thinking. No true Christian believes in evolution. You call us nuts, when you believe that we somehow evolved from some primeval soup that came into existence by itself. Evolution is a religion because it is not a proven scientific fact and it requires belief.
you are referring to evolution as if it was a fact.
''evolution itself'' is just a theory.

We human beings percentage ordinary ancestors with the "monkeys" (chimps, gorilas and some others). yet in case you decide on to label an australopitecus afarensis (case in point) as a "monkey", flow ahead. i am going to't see some thing incorrect in descending from a "monkey".

NO-ONE thinks this is true! The only place you can find any reference to this idiotic idea is in fundamentalist anti-science propaganda. No scientist has ever made such an absurd claim.

They have no real arguments against evolution so that's why they come up with this nonsense.

I think some very uneducated people in general think it's true. Or apes wish it was true.

I think they think it's true..
they are so narrow minded that the make oblivious statements like that and don't even do some research.

Creationists never actually argue against evolution.
Just against some straw man that their preachers invented.
