Muslims - How do you know Christianity isn't correct?

Followers of all other religions will say Christianity isn't correct in the same way Christians believe that their religion is the only correct one.

I am a Muslim :) and we don't believe that Christianity is wrong. We actually believe in, respect, and follow the teachings of the original unaltered gospel. Sure, there are aspects of Christianity that Muslims disagree with, however, Christians are especially revered in Islam as "people of the book" (along with our Jewish brothers and sisters) as fellow followers of the religion of Abraham. Christianity, Islam, and Judaism are the most closely related religions on Earth. We have far more in common then we have differences in a religious sense.

We all believe that there is only one God and that he sent prophets with teachings for mankind to educate and provide guidance in worship and spirituality. Islam believes and respects ALL prophets of God including all Christian prophets (like Jesus) and Jewish prophets (like Moses). All of their teachings are followed by Muslims. Again, while Muslim, Christians, and Jews disagree on some things, I don't think anyone would call another follower of an Abrahamic religion "wrong" for believing in and worshipping the one true God.

Because in the first place, the Bible is actually a bad translation and horrible modification of the Prophet Isa a.s. aka Jesus' book which was gifted to him from the one and only God, Allah. Prior to this, the book was called Injil. And yes, Jesus is not the child of God, he was a human being chosen by Allah to lead his people to the right path; and he was a Muslim.

Wait, change that; Jesus is a Muslim. He's not dead, he never died for anyone's salvation. He was saved by Allah and brought up to the heavens, only to descend back to earth to save mankind (but mainly Muslims, of course) from Dajjal fourty days before doomsday. Dajjal is a person/creature who is going to come into the midst of humans and bring havoc to all.

And Dan Brown wasn't lying; the Bible was put together by the Roman Emperor Constantine in his days, and he put it together according to his own desire and to secure his importance. That's why there are so many contradictions in the Bible. Many of my ex-Christian friends -- who are now Muslims, alhamdulillah -- themselves have said that they are confused as to who is really god; God or Jesus? In Islam, there is only one clear and true God.

Plus if you could find tapes of the debates between the late ulama' Sheikh Ahmad Deedat and a Christian pastor about the bible and the Quran, at the end of the debate the pastor himself was confused about his own religion...

I think, as a christian, what you gotta realise is islam represents a version of christianity left over from Gnostic christians who were driven out of modern christianity, or what survived to become our version of christianity. The Gnostics generally didn't believe Jesus was God or God's son and Mohammed grew up in this very region were the people had been gnostics so it was only natural that Jesus would never be God as a starting point of any new religion from there.Infact, Mohammed was probably a symptom of the declaration that Jesus was God made flesh which would only have been decided in christianity maybe 200 years before him i.e. up until then some chistians didn't believe Jesus was God, some saw him as prophet while others thought we were all capable of evolving into "sons of God"

So in a way, I'm never too worried about that aspect of Islam but I worry about the stoning of women etc which is simply them letting their crazy and religious members rule them...we christians had enough of that ourselves eg Magdalene laundries etc

How do you know Zeus is not correct. There are a lot more stories written about Zeus and in multiple books. I think the big guy is really Zeus.

Don't tell Zeus, but the Romans changed his name to Jupiter. I think this was a bad Idea! The big guy will not be happy!

For the same reason a Muslim ask a Christian about Christianity

Al-Baqara [2:140] Or say you that Ibrâhim (Abraham), Ismâ'il (Ishmael), Ishâque (Isaac), Ya'qûb (Jacob) and Al-Asbât [the offspring twelve sons of Ya'qûb (Jacob)] were JEWS or CHRISTIANS? Say, "Do you know better or does Allâh (knows better… that they all were Muslims)? And who is more unjust than he who conceals the testimony [i.e. to believe in Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon him when he comes, as is written in their Books. (See Verse 7:157)] he has from Allâh? And Allâh is not unaware of what you do."

this question will be asked for all eternity, or at least until we all realize organized religion is useless, and we'll never have a true answer

the romans first stole the greek philosophies about gods, then later, they did the same thing with judaism, but tweaked it to fit their needs. do you really expect the religion they created to be totally 100% true??

Only a food fight will settle this. Each is entitled to there own bowl of beans. Take ten paces turn and start thowing. The person with the fewer beans and the most hits after two minutes wins and you both will still be entitled to your own opinion. Begin.

Christians - How do you know Atheism, Islam, Buddhism, or any of the other hundreds of beliefs out there aren't correct?
