Atheist / Theist bus: the next two rounds?
Three Christian groups are responding to the London atheist bus posters with their own.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howabou...
One is going with the traditional but firmly dogmatic: "The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God." (psalm 14 or 53)
What would you say? Really! In a democratic move, you can now word your very own bus, at least on the internet:

With artwork provided by the atheists, you can even have a Pastafarian bus: go to it!

Obviously, somewhere along the line, the idea of running bus ads which just say "Christianity: We forgive those who mock us" got dropped.
I look forward to possible future ads from the organised religions, such as:-
Jehovah's Witnesses: "God knows where you live and he's sending us round in the morning"
Mormons: "Join today and we'll baptise your dead relatives for free!"
Westboro Baptist Church: "Get off my bus, you damn f*ggots!"
Catholic Church: "Once you get on this bus, you're on forever"
Islamic Fundamentalists: "There is a God. Get on this bus and meet him"

It is not possible for me to care any less about what ads appear on the side of a bus than I already do. The are usually for products or services that I do not want or need. I rarely ride the bus and the ad on the side of the would not impact whether I chose to ride the or not.
If the Christians want to compete with the atheists for ad space, it is their choice. I just think their resources could better spent elsewhere such as helping their fellow human beings. I guess they are helping to support the marketers, artists, and printing companies by purchasing the ads. I really do not see it doing much else or benefiting anyone.

Well I hope the deceitful Christians post the whole of Psalm 53?
Not just, The fool says in his heart, "There is no God."
Psalm 53
1 The fool says in his heart,
"There is no God."
They are corrupt, and their ways are vile;
there is no one who does good.
Then people will know what Christians are really all about.
As I am in the UK and have friends in high places such as newspapers, I think I will expose this publicly. I don't think people are going to be pleased that they don't do any good and are vile just because the are either Atheist or don't believe in God.

There's a type of knowing that Gnostics talk about, an understanding closer to what a Buddhist would call enlightenment, this word is Gnosis. This kind of knowing is more of an insight, an absolute faith caused by experience. When you have this type of experience there's no debate about whether spiritual things exist or not, but anyone that experiences it will also know that it's both beyond words and beyond organized religion. This truth is excessively greater than scriptures, and completely independent of natural science. It is beyond dogma, and denominations, it is approached by mystics from all religions from all over the world. To explore it is to want to share it, but to attempt to explain it is to creating idols, an image so unworthy of the truth of the experience that the description can be considered nothing less than a lie. Moses understood this when God didn't want to give his name, it is what is meant when it is said that no man has seen God. It is why Buddha refused to insult it by calling it God because the word God is a pitiful understatement, an insult. It is the bases of our life, the undercurrent of self, but self without ego. What I know is beyond believing, perhaps the word "Gnow" would be more appropriate, after all to know something is to be able to describe it, and I can't, and neither can anyone else. I agree with everyone that wants it kept out of government. /.\

It's actually a good move, in a way, because if we can drag these Christian groups through the mud, they'll be made irrelevant :)
With enough back-and-forth going on, people will realize that there are SO many religions and belief systems, they're all relative and the same!

It's wrong to call someone a fool. Even in the Bible it states this. So, from that perspective, I totally disagree with this message.
I think we are all entitled to voice our opinions, but notice that the atheist posters never insulted anyone - just gave an honest question to make people think.

How about a sign like "Be nice to strangers"
edit: It seems each camp considers the other one "strange".

One group attacks the idea, the other attacks the person. That seems rather telling.

I want to make one that spreads lies about Kirk Cameron, like that he's ignorant and homosexual....oh wait...
