no windows. (it was designed to be a media room). I would like to somehow brighten it up. What kind of a comforter and wall pictures should I get? What color should I paint my dresser? I have double doors, and the room is two floors. When you walk in I would like that as a sitting area with a tv, comfy chair, and my desk, then you go down 2 stairs that are the whole length of the room, to the area I would like my bed and dresser, and a night stand. What kind of chair/color? Im 24...so I like kinda contemporary stuff. Thanks for any ideas! I also need to find a new design for my 2 year old boys bedroom. Any cute designs? He loves animals,elmo....

Black furniture, white bedding, hang a soft flowing curtain in front of your bed to soften the room (white), and have your chair in white..use red and grey for accent colours on a throw, pillows, and organizers..have your picture frames in black..the black bed, dresser, and frames will ground your whole look..your bedside and desk lamps should be in a brushed nickel and you can use that too for knobs for your dresser and desk...great colours..love it!

wow, Megan,  did you know in most places it is illegal to have a bedroom without windows for exit in case of a fire?

Ok,, go with whites and bright colors to lighten up the area.   On the chair a bright throw,  maybe one wall painted a brighter color.  Good luck
