Double stroller or use a sling on occasion?

My son is almost 3 1/2 and i have one due in about 2 months. My son occasionally uses his stroller if I want to strap him when he is tired and misbehaving... otherwise he walks. I have a sit and stand (a gift, unopened) that I could use with them but we also have a full size graco stroller. If my son gets tired when baby is using the stroller I could put baby in a sling while my son is in the stroller instead of pushing a heavy double stroller. I don't imagine my son wanting to ride in the stroller for much longer which is why I don't know if I should haul around a double if only one kid will be in it...

What would you do?

Don't get a double if you are not planning on having him use the stroller for much longer. I simply strapped my babies on until they were around 6 months (and getting way to heavy for my back), and that works fine with pushing a stroller. In 8 months he will be working with you better, merely because he will be 4 years old, and you can have the baby in the stroller instead.

I never bought a double stroller, and my two are 2 years apart.

I figured that it would be rare that I would be going somewhere that I would need a stroller alone, and we had 3 already, so we could just use two separate strollers if we needed to.

A double stroller, for us, was a waste of money as they are so big and so heavy...

I did buy a wagon with two seats recently and have used that a lot. We went trick or treating in it, we go for walks to the park in it, etc.

I would use the sit n stand. I was about that age when my sister was born and though I usually walked I sometimes got tired on long trips and my mom let me sit on the toddler seat. It was also handy to put shopping bags on. I wouldn't bother with a true double stroller at his age.

I wouldnt bother with a double at that age, and instead stick with a sling or carrier. I used my bjorn til my 2nd was well over a year, when the older one wanted the seat.

I would haul the dbl around just in case. Im kindve in the same boat, but with a little younger... 2yr and due in a week... I just recently purchased the sit and stand and even if my little one wants to walk I could use the seat for stuff... I dunno... The sit and stand is a great invention!
