Christians! Is it a sin to break the Golden Rule?

If you do something to someone else that you would never want done to yourself, have you sinned?

Of course, in crimes where there's a real *victim* (someone is raped, someone is beat up, someone is murdered or deliberately maimed) -- where something is done unto another where the perpetrator(s of the crime(s most certainly would *not* want that done unto themselves -- the legal system *has* to do things to the criminal that we wouldn't want done unto ourselves either, in order to protect the innocent from more crimes by the criminal. i'm not interested in this exception.

It simply seems to me that *lots* of Christians are doing things to others that they would *not* want done to themselves. Are they *sinning* in doing these things?

Is it okay for God or Jesus to break the Golden Rule? They don't have to obey the rules laid-on the rest of us?

I think it needs to be a bit more in depth, as in:

"Do to others as you would have them do to you, if you were in their situation"

If I commit a crime, I expect to be punished for it. Therefore, I am not breaking the golden rule by punishing someone for committing a crime. While I would not want it to happen to me if I was innocent, I would expect it to happen to me if I was guilty.

  • It is a sin to break the "Golden Rule". "Do to others what you would do unto you." It is one of the great commandments (not to be confused with the ten commandments). It's being a nice person too. But if the person is doing something else against God's laws the people are trying to protect other innocent people. I believe that if your not hurting them and just protecting the innocent it should not be a sin. And God and Jesus could not sin so they could not break the golden rule. God is God and Jesus is 100% God and 100% Human, which makes no sense, but God is on a much higher level and i guess a lot of things dont make sense. Like, how the heck is the human body made? How do things work the way they do and if it is explained how does that make sense. God is God and he can do the unexplained.

categories of Christians obtainable, to make useful. careful which comprise your stereotypes. I, for one, thoroughly and adamantly disagree with war and capital punishment. it fairly is contradictory to the Gospel. What you're experiencing is human motives applying religious interpretation. In different words, some anybody is wicked and help violence. They, in turn, challenge this onto their interpretation of their faith. faith does not kill human beings. human beings kill human beings. That pronounced, many Christians do no longer have faith this. to indicate it fairly is a element of the Christian faith isn't any diverse than human beings claiming that atheists help fascism and genocide purely because of the fact Stalin grew to become into an atheist. That physique of techniques to atheism is a fallacy, of direction. war and capital punishment are concerns of politics and skill, no longer faith. Idealistic techniques, which comprise religious doctrine, are usually used because of the fact the excuse for the abuse of skill and the unfold of a political time table. yet it fairly is quite not the fault of religion. some anybody is egocentric and evil. If faith did no longer exist, they'd purely use another idealistic doctrine to assist their bids for skill and greed.

    The golden rules is:

He who has the gold makes the rules.

So I don't see how it would be a sin to not make the rules sometimes.

I would say yes, however if you are still unsure of please ask on www.venomfangxsite.com forums about this issue.

For the last question, GOD CAN NOT SIN! He will not break any sins, He too follows His moral laws that He had place for ALL, that is including Himself.
