Batch File Question Concerning Auto Running?
I am working on a batch file that I want to place in my directory at school. The way our system works is that you have a directory on the network but each computer is unique with it's own settings and cookies. Is there a way to place a batch file in my directory and have it auto run no matter which computer I log onto. I have tried an autorun.inf but this only works when I try to access my directory once logged in which is still nice but I would prefer it to auto run
I dont think the admins would do this for me or would know how to. I deleted a folder on the network once and they had no idea how retreive it. What I am hearing is that it cannot be done with this system. Is that correct or is there a way?

If you location is not already using login scripts, you could ask the administrators to point your profile login script to your network batch file.
Mark G.,
This has nothing to do with malware. A login script cannot do anything more than he could do manually. It is simply a convenience. Malicious would be trying to get other people to run his script unknowingly.

Expecting the admins to do a network restore for you, especially in a school setting is unrealistic.
However, you could do something that is somewhat manual at first, but still at least partly get what you want. On the computers you do log into, create a local startup batch which simply calls your network version. It is still manual, but only one time for each computer. You can then modify the script in your network folder and it will be used by all the computer you have setup so far.
The directory is %USERPROFILE%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup.

i dont fairly get what you attempt to do. notwithstanding, i will teach you ideas to run a .bat record 24/7. fairly what's the content fabric of the record, what does it do? that's mandatory to respond to ur question especially. properly, often you are able to upload your .bat record to the startup folder (basically variety click on the starting up button and seem for startup folder in domicile windows vista and domicile windows 7. in Xp, it truly is in initiate->courses->upload-ons). Then create a job in job scheduler that runs each and every a million minute, set the action to be the operating of ur .bat record. which could help for now, til we've better info on what ure doin. thanks.
